I recently purchased a copy of Barry Goldwater's "The Conscience of A Conservative." An excellent book and every patriotic american should read it, however, there was something I really didn't care for. The editor, for some bizarre reason, chose to have Robert Kennedy jr. give the afterword. For those of you unaware, RKjr is a lunatic. His afterward, while sparing Goldwater because his father thought well of him, is an unhinged and juvenile, longcat-long rant against the neoconservative and libertarian movements, in particular, targeting the right and honorable Heritage Foundation, claiming they are part of a fascist conspiracy to install an american theocracy. Having RKjr give the afterward to CoaC is like having Hal Turner give the afterward to To Kill A Mockingbird or Reinhard Heydrich the afterward to Tuesdays With Morrie, you just don't do it. I have half an inclination to cross out everything the crackerjack wrote from the book.
